What a gorgeous show! The horses spring out into the room. You have taken a unique and original concept and developed it in so many imaginative ways. The use of color is splendid. I love the alteration between the color-saturated large paintings and the monochrome prints and paintings. You also have a beautiful cast of characters at the show who look as if they themselves could step into or out of the paintings. How appropriate to serve popcorn at a carousel. The way you’ve created an atmosphere outside the paintings makes me think of your Alice in Wonderland Halloween garden: a total sensory experience! Helen, you are an amazing artist. Congratulations on this dazzling show.
Thank you, Shirley! I always appreciate your close look and detailed observations. And yes, I think I tapped into a similar part of myself with both the Alice in Wonderland garden and the carousel project.
